Dragon Quest Builders [PS4] Playthrough #030, Ch. 2: Tingle Tablets; Tearwolf Dojo

We are currently in Chapter 2: Rimuldar. Previously, Davilas built a Cafeteria as requested by Nosh. Then, for Gerontius, he cleared out a Killerpillar nest in the south of the Prickly Wilds. Gerontius worked how to make Tingle Tablets, which cure paralysis.

After resuming, Davilas talks to Elle (time 0:38). Elle asks him to find a couple of people beyond the Blue Teleportal. She is referring to Irvyn and Jacob, whom Davilas has already found in previous episodes. Now, Irvyn and Jacob both need Tingle Tablets, which Davilas learned how to make from Gerontius’s most recent quest.

Before leaving, Davilas takes the Herbalist’s Cauldron with him.

Then, he takes the Blue Teleportal to the Prickly Wilds (time 2:46). South past the river, he takes Killerpillars to acquire Paralystingers.

He also finds Fibrous Fronds in the area (time 5:40). Acquring one, he learns the recipe for Fibrous Fabric, which can be used for new clothing.

Then, on the coast south of the river, Davilas fishes up some Cod.

When he has fished enough, he pulls out the Herbalist’s Cauldron (time 7:14). He processes a few Tingle Tablets.

The area also has three towers that are home to friendly Bodkins that are suffering paralysis. One is the eastern tower (time 8:10). Davilas must bash through some Straw Floor blocks to gain entrance. Davilas talks to the Bodkins here.

Then, he gives a Tingle Tablet to the ailing Bodkin (time 9:08). It rewards Davilas with 50 Throwing Stones.

He finds another ailing Bodkin atop the southwest tower (time 11:29). Davilas gives it a Tingle Tablet (time 11:49). The Bodkin rewards him with a nugget of Gold. Lovely!

The last suffering Bodkin is in the northwest tower (time 13:29). Davilas gives it a Tingle Tablet (time 13:41). The Bodkin rewards him with a Seed of Life. Very handy!

After resting at the rest area, Davilas ventures to the west past some chalky mountains. Amid these mountains is a damaged building that he will have to repair as part of a chapter challenge.

West of the mountains, Davilas discovers a relatively undamaged building. Around the periphery, he will find Scarewolves that drop Confusing Claws. He will need at least one.

Outside the building’s western entrance, there are a couple of Evil Idols. Too bad he can’t take them with him at this point.

Within the building, he finds non-hostile Bewarewolves. It turns out this is their dojo, and they are training to fight back the encroaching Scarewolves.

Davilas talks to the dojo leader, Master Tearwolf (time 21:17). To help his pack repel the Scarewolves, he asks for Defuddle Drops, which cure the effects of confusion. Davilas learns the recipe for Defuddle Drops.

Afterwards, Davilas pulls out the Herbalist’s Cauldron (time 23:34). He cooks up some Defuddle Drops. A batch of 3 Defuddle Drops requires a Confusing Claw, a Frogstool, and a bunch of Yellow Petals.

Then, Davilas gives a dose of Defuddle Drops to Master Tearwolf (time 24:01). The pack alpha rewards him with the Ring of Clarity, an accessory that protects against confusion.

On the roof, Davilas finds a chest containing a Gold Ring (time 27:08). When equipped, this increases max HP by 10.

Afterwards, Davilas returns to base with a Chimaera Wing (time 27:30).

There, he administers Tingle Tablets to Irvyn and Jacob in the Infirmary (time 28:16). Both are now cured and require a night’s rest.

Davilas reports to Elle (time 28:28). She gives Davilas the Haberdashery blueprint, which can create a sewing room. Quest complete!

Next time, Davilas will build the Haberdashery and improve the base to the next level.
